BGK workshop

Introduction to immersive environments with BGK Holstebro. The students were split in two teams, one would make a movie to be installed into a constructed environment, the other made the room installation where the movie would be projected. We discussed how many different approaches to various fields of art/design practice could be combined into one body of work. The students then agreed to transform a kitchen into something familiar to an interiour magazine or showroom presentation, centering the theme for the installation on the different attitudes toward food consumption. HERE WE COME

Unfolding a grid into the white empty cubic space, simulating the structure of how everything modern is being performed into production. TV kitchen like perfect, the Gordon Ramsay imitator following the recipe. Programmed to consumption, like vacum packed meat in the supermarket fridge, objects are budding from the slick alignment of the schematics of the grid. IKEA catalogue gone wrong while single mom is floating between cocain moistured party monsters and a bling bling soup of paradise hosted television. From unrecognizable matters of identity, new shapes and forms come into existence. Morphing like a never ending distributed network, sprawling like the real estate development on the outskirts of a city, rendered as in the scenic 3d computer graphics workspace, this is still editable.
